COOKEVILLE - Funeral services for Maude Thompson, 92, of
Cookeville will be held tomorrow, March 7, at 1 p.m. in West View Baptist Chtirch. Burial will be in the
Shipley Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died Monday (March 5, 1990) in Masters Health
Care Center.
Born March 23, 1897 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late Pleas and Martha Swearingen Kinnaird.
Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and a member of West View Baptist Church.
Her family includes one daughter, Adell Young of Cookeville; one son, Walter Thompson of Cookeville;
five grandchildren, Steven, Randy and Mike Thompson, Sharon Massa and Jackie Jones, and nine great-
grandchildren.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Eldon Burgess, John Poteet, Steven, Mike and Randy Thompson, Derek Bohannon, Doug and Frank Massa and Truman Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be all
former and present deacons of West View Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Whitson Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
Bro. Eugene Schmid, Bro. David R. Walker and Bro. Bobby Pharris will officiate at the services.
