Charles Upjohn, 86, of Mt. Kisco, N. Y., former local resident, died April 13 in the Northern Westchester N. Y. hospital.
Mr. Upjohn, a former artist for the Weller pottery here, was a retired professor of fine arts of Teachers college, Columbia university, where he was a member of the faculty for 25 years.
He was the son of Richard Upjohn, who designed Trinity church in New York city, and was the husband of Louise Van Horn, daughter of Jefferson Van Horn, of this city.
Mr. Upjohn was the founder and the first president of the New York Society of Craftsmen.
Surviving are three sons, Charles T., William D. and Sidney Van Horn Upjohn.
Funeral services and burial were held in Mt. Kisco.
