June McEwan Durrant, our darling wife, mother, grandmother and sister, died Tuesday, February 5, 1991 at her home in SLC, Utah at the age of 77.
She was born June 20, 1913, in Knightville, Utah to William Chancy and Myrtle Royle McEwan.
She lost both parents to death at a young age and was raised by her aunt Myrtle Clawson in Provo, Utah.
She graduated from Provo High School in 1931.
She was married to James Russell Durrant in 1936 and was later sealed for time and eternity in the SL LDS Temple. They were the parents of three children.
She was a faithful member of the Monument Park Stake for over 35 years. She served many years in Relief Society, sharing her creative homemaking talents with others.
She and her husband were called to serve as a missionary couple to bring leadership and direction to the 4th Ward of the Temple View Stake in downtown Salt Lake City.
June found delight in creating a place of comfort for her family. Her home is a monument to her industry and her sense of beauty and order. Her children and grandchildren have many happy memories of times spent together at ``Grammie's'' house.
She is survived by her husband, James Russell Durrant; three children, David Russell Durrant; Mrs. Legrand T. (Deborah) McOmber; Mrs. Lloyd N. (Nanette) Campbell; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. David R. (Paula) Durrant; 18 adoring grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John Wesley (Alta) Taylor; Mrs. Stanley (Bernice) Stubbs.
She will be greatly missed by her family who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12:00 Noon, February 9, 1991 at the Monument Park 11th Ward, 1565 S. Foothill Drive (1800 E.).
Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, and Saturday at the ward 10:45-11:45 a.m.
Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
