--Henry Swank, 70, farmer living four miles north of Mulberry, died at 7:50 o'clock last night at the Home Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient for 10 days with heart trouble. The body was brought to the Kleinsmith funeral home, and will be taken to the family home this evening. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in the Dayton M. E. Church, of which he was a member, with Rev. Israel Hatton, pastor, officiating; internment in Swank cemetery, near Pettit.
Mr. Swank was born near Pettit, June 29, 1865, son of Peter and Sarah (Fickle)Swank, and was married to Mary J. Landes on Nov. 15, 1889. Four children were born to this union. All his life was spent in and near Mulberry. He was also a member of Sheffield K. of P. lodge, Dayton. Surviving are the widow; a son Harold P., of Frankfort, route 7; three daughters, Mrs. Lottie Gottschall, Waveland, Mrs. Florence Sheridan, Greencastle, and Mrs. Orpha Swank, West Lafayette; seven grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Amy Shiglet,(Shigley) Flora.
