CATHERINE I. AXT, 85, died yesterday at Wright's Nursing Home, Largo, Fla. Born in Craigsville, she lived in Fort Wayne for several years before moving to Florida 12 years ago. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Fort Wayne and Order of the Eastern Star of Rome City Chapter No. 595 and was past commander of the Navy Club.
Her husband, Chester, died in 1978.
Surviving are her daughters, Gloria Lothamer and Donna Morrissey, both of Largo; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services are pending for Saturday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial will be in Lindwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials are gifts to charity.
