Ann Klann, age 93, of Dennison and formerly of the Bolivar area, died Monday, December 7, 2009, in Union Hospital at Dover following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late John and Anna (Potlevich) Zukerowski, Ann was born at Cleveland, Ohio on November 6, 1916.

On September 5, 1936, Ann married George E. Klann and together the couple would rear four children. After sharing their lives for nearly fifty eight years George would precede Ann in death on June 5, 1994.

Ann was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia and was well known for her skills as a crafter of ceramic wares, her specialty baked goods and being a caretaker for her family.

In her younger years, Ann was an accomplished bowler and golfer and enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens that surrounded her house.

Ann leaves behind a family that includes two sons, Brian L. (Susan) Klann of Dennison, and Roger L. (Nancy) Klann of Adrian, Michigan.

Ten grandchildren, Michelle Klann, Deborah Klann, Diane Klann, David Klann, Douglas Klann, Denice Osworth, Darin Klann, Amber Flowers, Harold Flowers, and Charles P. Hren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson as well a numerous nieces and nephews complete the family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Klann-Hren; a son, Martin D. Klann; two brothers, Johnny and George Zukerowski; and a sister, Marie Swartz.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 10, 2009, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Monsignor George J. Schlegel will officiate a service celebrating Ann's life on Friday, December 11, 2009, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home's chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.

Following services the family would like to invite guests to join them in the Geib Family Center, adjacent to the funeral home, where a meal and fellowship will be shared.
