Rosaria "Sarah" Carmolingo (nee Fresta), age 95, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, with her family at her side. Sarah will be remembered as an extraordinary woman who was loved by many. She had a great life, filled with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, family, and friends. She was born in 1915 in Philadelphia, PA, and grew up in both Italy and America prior to marriage. Sarah married Pasquale Carmolingo on November 29, 1934 and their loving union lasted 25 years until his passing in 1960. She resided in Glassboro, NJ for over 70 years and cherished the home she built with Pat. Sarah was a devout Catholic, attended weekly mass for most of her life and was a lifelong member of St. Bridget's Church. She was a wonderful example of faith and love!
She was predeceased by her husband Pasquale (1960), her beloved son Russell (2008), and by her brother Louis Fresta (2000). She had four children Michael (Eloise) Carmolingo of Florida, Russell (Judy) Carmolingo of New Jersey, Carmella (Pasquale) DiRienzo of New Jersey, and Maria (Fred) Riegel of New Jersey. She loved her 17 grandchidlren, Patrick, Michelle, Michael, John, Nicholas, Patti, Michael, Angie, Russell, Phil, Christopher, Sarah, Anthony, Patrick, Steven, Natalie and Russell and 18 great grandchildren, as well as her 3 great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Sunday 7-9pm and Monday 9:30-10:30am in the KELLEY FUNERAL HOME, 125 Pitman Ave, Pitman, NJ. Funeral mass will be on Monday at 11am in St. Bridget's Church, 202 Ellis St, Glassboro, NJ 08028. Interment St. Bridget's Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Church.
