"Hazel Katherine Rogers, daughter of Silas and Millicent Rogers, was born at Clinton, Iowa, July 8, 1892, and died April 6, 1977 at the Axtel Hospital in Princeton, Mo. Katie Studied music at Drake University and then taught school at Vine Oak, Moffet and Oak Seminary Schools. She was the principal of Cambria School for one year. She was baptized in the Christian Church. She was united in marriage to Everett Monroe Bagley June 14, 1914 at the Christian Union Church at Pleasanton, Iowa. To this union seven children were born; Everett Bagley Junior, Mrs. Charley Houk (Wilda) of Pleasanton, Iowa; Mrs. Raymond Bryant (Bessie) of Leon, Iowa; Raymond Bagley Mercer, Mo.; Mrs. Geral McDowell (Ruth), Albany, Ore.; Mrs. Harold Akers (Rosanne), Garden Grove; and Mrs. George Gurghoffer (Katheryn), Centerville. Everett and Katie have lived near Pleasanton during their years of married life. The past five years they lived near their son Raymond and family. Preceding her in death were son Everett Junior; sister Anna Marie Clampitt; brother Andrew Rogers; and two grandchildren, Jesse Ray Houk and Mary Frances Bagley. Survivors are her husband Everett; children; brother Charles William Rogers, Powell, Wyo.; two daughters-in-law Neotha Bagley, Princeton, Mo., and Ramona Bagley of the home; 29 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; others relatives and friends."
