Keith was born March 29, 1924 in Bloomington, Idaho, one of six children, to Bertrand Heber and Luzell Leavitt Nelson. He spent his childhood in Bloomington and Lewiston, Utah.
He married Loda Wallentine in Bear Lake Valley, Idaho in 1941. She is now deceased. Two children were born to them: Merrill Keith Nelson, of Riverside, CA, and Kim K. Nelson, of Bellevue, NE.
Keith married Marilyn Wahl December 28, 1982 in Ogden, Utah. He has worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in Ogden for 38 years. Keith was a beloved and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He has been active in many community projects in leadership positions.
Keith is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two children: Merrill and Kim (Melissa); four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters: June Nelson Gordon and Vonda Nelson Clark, both of Salt Lake City.
Friends and Family may visit Wednesday December 15, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services on December 16, 2010, at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday.
Interment will be at Lewiston City Cemetery, Lewiston, Utah following the services.
The family wishes to express thanks to the Wasatch Care Center and Legacy Hospice, as well as to friends and family who have assisted in any way.
