Lieutenant Commander, US Navy. Fought in the 1st Fighter Group, and the 441st Troop Carrier Squadron, US Army Air Corps during World War II, having enlisted on 10 Dec 1942. He was discharged from the Army Air Corps on 11 Nov 1946. In September 1949, he joined the US Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, and served on the USS Oriskany during the Korean War. He died of non-battle injuries in Japan, along with his wife, Betty.
