OPAL THOMAS EDENS 81 of Charleston, died Wednesday, Sept. 16. 1992, in St. Francis Hospital after a short illness.

She was a retired school teacher at Horace Mann Junion High and a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.

Opal was the daughter of the late Lewis E. Thomas & Mary E. RANSON. She married Alva Marshall Edens.

Surviving: son, Marshall D. of Columbus, Oh daughter, Patricia Cook of Charleston; sister, Mrs. Sylias McNeeley of Ravenswood; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
