Lilla Della Harkins was the daughter of Cornelius "Neal" Harkins and Catherine McMillian (or McMillan). She married Isaac Edward Taylor in Tallapoosa County, Alabama December 11, 1879. They had children Amna Taylor, John Henry Taylor, Otis Edward Taylor and Lilla Taylor. After the death of Isaac 1920, she married Walter Mack Whitehead - the widow of her sister Sarah Ellen Harkins.
