Helen May Benham Wagner, 94, of Hanover, Pa., died Saturday evening, Jan. 27, 2007, at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford, Pa.
Born July 16, 1912, in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Ada Miller Strevig. She was the wife of the late Roy Benham who died in 1940, and William Wagner who died in 1977.
She had been employed as a seamstress at the former Jacobs Brothers Inc. in Manchester.
She was a member of The Black Rock Church of The Brethren in Glenville.
She enjoyed making quilts and often gave the quilts away to family and friends. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Surviving are daughter Janice W. Croasmun of Hanover, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law Paul K. and Lois Benham of Lancaster, Pa.; grandsons Aaron Croasmun and Kevin Benham; niece Joan McConnell of Hanover, Pa.; and sister-in-law Roseanna Strevig of Hanover, Pa.
She was predeceased by daughter Amy Benham; and a brother, Russell Strevig.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at The Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, Pa., with the Rev. Douglas G. Hubell officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 1075 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
Arrangements are by Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway in Hanover.
