COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Nina Marie Griffin, 81, of Cookeville will be held Thursday, June 28, at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends today, June 27, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Griffin died suddenly on Monday, June 25, 2001, at her home.

She was born December 2, 1919, in Sparta to the late David Odus and Pearl Hayes Brady.

Mrs. Griffin was a graduate of Chillicothe Business School and worked with General Motors, Ward Belmont College and Kings Daughters Hospital. She was a member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church and PEO.

Her family includes her husband of over 55 years, Harry Griffin (they were married on February 8, 1946, in Sparta); three daughters and two sonsinlaw, Sarah Griffin and Lewis Williams of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., Jane Ann Berlin and Suzanne and Daniel Supthen, all of Dublin, Ohio; one brother, James P. Brady of Cookeville; five grandchildren, John Griffin and Michael Rhett Ridings, and Harrison Bryan, Hilary Jane and Hayley Jourdan Sutphen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Patrick Griffin and a brother, David Manson Brady.
