Harvey was a slave child, came to Charleston WV in 1868 with his parents, and went to Tupper's Ck where he started to purchased land. He worked on farms and Blacksmith shops for $25.00 a year. He married Mary BROWN in 1893. He had a Blacksmith shop, coal mine, oil and gas wells and a regional dentist for his area. He assisted Lawyer D. Boone Dawson to get his start in College.
