Son of Edward and Annie (Witte) Abey.

Immigrated to the United States in 1887. He was naturalized at the immigration office in Pennsylvania.

PULLMAN, Wash. July 6.--John A. Abey, 71 a resident here two years. died in his home last night, after a long illness. Before coming here he was a Janitor in the Spokane schools more than 20 years. He came to the United States from England 50 years ago and moved to Spokane in 1906.

He is survived by his widow, Caroline; a daughter, Mrs. Edith Powers, Riparia Wash., Three sons, William, Fort Clarks, N.S., and Clarence and Lester, Spokane; six grandchildren and relatives in England.

His funeral will be held here Tuesday, probably from the Nazarene church at 2 p.m.
