LORAIN — Beverly Kay Dampier, age 39, of Lorain, departed this life on October 30, 2008, at Oak Hills Nursing Home in Lorain after a lengthy illness.

She born April 27, 1969, in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident. She attended Lorain City Schools and graduated from Admiral King High School in 1987. She briefly served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer before becoming ill. Beverly enjoyed dancing and modeling and will be missed by all.

She was a member of Faith Ministries Christian Center in Lorain.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Jasmine Bostick of Atlanta, Georgia; father, James Dampier, Jr. of Youngstown, Ohio; sister, Ava (Ronnie) Moore of Orange Park, Florida; step-sisters, Michelle Watson of Sheffield Lake, Ohio and Tina and Monica of Lorain, Ohio; brother James Dampier III of Orlando, Florida; aunts, Valerie Noel and Joanne (Melvin) Brown, both of Elyria, Ohio, Mia Paris of Detroit, Michigan, and Nancy Howard of Lorain, Ohio; uncles,

Joseph, Dale and Joel Dampier of Lorain, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Dampier; brothers, Daniel and Ronald Dampier; grandparents, Marvin and Christine Noel and Jimina Hernandez and James Dampier, Sr.

Visitation will be tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave in Lorain. Funeral Services will be Friday, November 7, 2008, at noon at Faith Ministries Christian Center, 1306 Euclid Ave in Lorain; Pastors Alvin and Diana Lindsey, officiants.

Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
