Clara L. Zurbrugg, 82, of 5841 E. Road 150S, died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday at Four Seasons Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.
She was the widow of Elmer P. Zurbrugg, to whom she was married Feb. 15, 1925, in Bartholomew County. He died March 5, 1968. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clifty and the church's ladies aid society.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. William Stache at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Clifty. Calling hours will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Reed and Jewell Funeral Home and from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the Church Friday. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donor's choice of charities.
Mrs. Zurbrugg was born June 11, 1903, in Bartholomew County, the daughter of John and Emma Overwieser Schlehuser. She was a member of Clifty Homemakers Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Hackman of 6040 E. Ind 7 and Helen Pollert of Seymour; two brothers, Robert Schlehuser of 14780S. Road 300W and Oscar Schlehuser of 1629 Cottage; a sister, Luella Taylor of 808 Central; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
