He was born April 23, 1957 in Amherst.

He graduated from Lorain High School.

Brantford was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was employed at SHR Hansen in the maintenance department. He had also worked as a stocker at Wal-mart and at BJ's Warehouse.

He was a member of Greater St. Matthew's African Methodist Episcopal Church, Lorain. He loved to dance, sing and play basketball.

Survivors include his fiancee, Debra Farsetti of Elyria; brother Roy Brantford of Lorain; sister Michelle Small of Lorain; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Lee Brantford Sr., in 1974 and mother, Marguerite Brantford, in 2000.

Friends may call Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway, Lorain. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Greater St. Matthew's A.M.E. Church, 1909 W. 24th St., Lorain. The Rev. Arnett Thornton, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain
