Mr. and Mrs. William Isaac Graham and their eight-year-old daughter Kathy Ann,
of Baltimore MD and formerly of the Cools Springs section of Horry County were
killed in the crash of a private plane early Friday, December 21, 1962, near
Summerville. They were en route from Baltimore to Hialeah, FLA for the holidays.
Mrs. Graham, the former Opal Pearl Rabon, was born in the Bayboro section of
Horry County on Jan 23, 1936, a daughter of the late Joe E. and Monnie Belle
Allen Rabon. She was a graduate of a school of beauty culture in New Castle
Delaware. Survivors include one brother J. C. Rabon, Rt. 1 Conway; one sister
Mrs. William (Elnita) Hardee, Rt. 1 Conway; one half sister Mrs. Amor (Rhodie)
Grainger, North Charleston. Mr. Graham was born on Jan. 9, 1934, in the Bayboro
section of Horry County, a son of the late William Isaac and Maude Rabon Graham.
For several years he had been employed at the Charleston airport and at the New
Castle Delaware airport. Recently he had moved to Baltimore where he was a
maintenance supervisor at the Friendship International Airport. Survivors
include one brother, Jesse Graham, Eau Gallie, FLA; six sisters, Mrs. Lillie
Strickland, Galivants Ferry, Mrs. Ruby Elliott, Charleston, Mrs. Vinie Carroll,
Loris, Mrs. Sankie Hilburn, Galivants Ferry, Mrs. Raymone Longacre, Cocoa FLA,
and Mrs. L. B. Todd, Loris; two half brothers, E. D. Graham, Galivants Ferry and
Dock H. Graham, Galivants Ferry. Kathy Ann Graham was born in Conway on Jan. 6,
1954, and was a third grade student in a Baltimore elementary school. The only
survivors are her aunts and uncles.
