The Rev. H. Mack Gore, 67, minister and retired farmer of the Shell section of Horry County died March 2, 1960. Mr. Gore was born on March 5, 1892, in the Shell section of Horry County, a son of the late Sam and Fayette Doyle Gore. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He had farming interests in the Shell section and had been a Baptist minister for the last 25 years. During his ministry he had served a large number of churches in North and South Carolina. At the time of his death he was pastor of Myrtle Head Baptist Church, Myrtle Head, N. C., and Okey Swamp Baptist church, near Conway. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Minnie Holmes Gore, Rt. 5, Conway; five sons, Lloyd Gore, Rt. 5, Conway; Paul Gore, Rt. 1, Conway; Brooks Gore, Wilmington, Calif.; A-2C Jack Ronald Gore, USAF, stationed in Puerto Rico, and Hoyt Gore, Conway; five daughters, Mrs. Liston S. Boye, Rt. 5, Conway; Mrs. Newsom Boyd, Georgetown; Mrs. Travis Faulk, Conway; Mrs. Clyburn Hardee, Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Lloyd Lewis, Myrtle Beach; five brothers, Oscar Gore, Curt Gore, and John Gore, all of Rt. 5, Conway; Vonzie Gore, Rt. 1, Conway, and sam Gore, Rt. 5, Conway; a half brother, B. C. Gore, Conway; a half sister, Mrs. Grover Floyd, Green Sea; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
