Reburial services for Marine Pfc. Calbert Bailey Jacobs, former Dallas resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ed C. Smith Funeral Home, 1811 Ross. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Jacobs, killed on New Britain [Papua New Guinea] December 15, 1943 [d. cert: Dec. 30], was a member of the Fifth Marine Division. He enlisted April 1, 1942.

Jacobs was born in Texarkana, October 27, 1919. He came with his parents to Dallas when a small boy and attended Trinity Heights Elementary School and Boude Storey Junior High School.

Surviving are his wife, now Mrs. Frankie Lee Tardiff, and a daughter, Miss Virginia Lee Jacobs, both of Duncanville; his mother, Mrs. Mary L. Jacobs; and two sisters, Miss Mabel Jacobs and Mrs. Selma Moore, all of Los Angeles California.
