He was born April 21, 1921, in Findlay to John Allen and Vere (Bishop) Saul. He married Doris Ensign and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Diane Leaman, Miami, Fla.; and Mrs. Ellen Dean, Kettering; a son, John, a student at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich.; three brothers, Keith, Von and Gwen, all of Findlay; four sisters, Mrs. Twila Pringle, Canton; Mrs. Thora Kille, Cuyahoga Falls; Mrs. Oma Harris, Mount Cory; and Mrs. Reathel Alliman, Montpelier; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Saul was director of the graduate alumni program at Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea. He had worked in Public relations throughout his life. He was a 1943 graduate of Findlay College, a reporter for the Republican-Courier, a United States Army veteran, a member of the board of governors of the Cleveland Alumni Chapter of Findlay College, the board of the Lucas County Agricultural Society, the Kiwanis Club in Bay Village, the Cleveland Advertising Club and the Bay Presbyterian Church.
He was a past president of the Findlay College Alumni Association and an elder in the Bay Presbyterian Church.
A private burial service will be held at noon Thursday in Memory Gardens, near Arcadia. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Hubert C. Auburn officiating.
