Her untimely death is a severe loss to the members of the family and it is as an individual loss to those who knew her so well and loved her for the many womanly qualitie. The family ask The Journal to express the deep feeling of appreciation for the many kind acts of the neighbors during the sad hours of sickness and death.

During Susan's widowed years, she worked as Seamstress until she married Thomas Clark.
