Jacob Davis & Susanna Miller had twelve children, all names and their date of birth, written in the William Carpenter Bible (The Davis Family Record)

Jacob and Thomas both moved to Cherokee Co.NC. about 40 miles over the Smokey Mountains; their destination was Sweetwater Creek, about two miles from Robinsville, the road was rugged that it was necessary to use block and tackle to get their wagons over the mountain trail. In 1872 this area became Graham Co. Jacob and Thomas were farmers. Jacob lived on Sweetwater Creek until his death 02-07-1873; his wife, Susanna,, died Aug. 1895.
