Mrs. Burwinkel is Summoned
Christmas was saddened for five children and husband of Mrs. Edith C. Burwinkel, wife of Henry B. Burwinkel, Norwood building inspector, 4621 Carter Street, when she died in childbirth Dec. 23rd at Bethesda hospital where she had graduated as a nurse in 1926.
The funeral was held last Friday from Tredway Funeral Home with requiem high mass at St. Elizabeth Church. Mrs Burwinkel is survived by her husband, five children, Betty, Alice, Eileen, Nancy, and Henry Jr.; her mother, Mrs. Matilda Millard; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Borcherding, and Mrs. Ruth Gradel, and one brother Richard Millard.
Mrs. Burwinkel before her marriage was in charge of the first floor as a nurse at Scarlet Oaks Sanitarium after several years service at Bethesda.
