Jeannette A. Owen, 93, of Bradley, died Friday (Sept. 18, 1998) at Vencor Hospital, Sycamore.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, with a 5 p.m. wake service.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, Bradley, where she was a member.
Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made for Masses.
She was born March 18, 1905, in Manteno, the daughter of August and Emma Ashline Saindon.
Her husband, Raymond Owen, whom she married Jan. 23, 1922, in Bradley, died April 5, 1985.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Annabelle Owen of Bourbonnais; one sister, Genevieve Williams of Peneville, La.; eight grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.
One daughter, Gloria; son-in-law, Robert Oliver; and four sisters, Maude Ostrowski, Maybelle Chinski, Gladys Sharp, and Louise Saindon are deceased.
Mrs. Owen had been employed at the Bear Brand, Lil and Stan's Restaurant, Bradley, and was retired from the Joliet Arsenal.
She was past-president of the Bradley American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Bradley V.F.W. Auxiliary Mother's of World War II.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
