Mary was the first child of Margaret Osborn Baker and Daniel Baker. When the British advanced on Westfield NJ in June 1780, Mary with the other women fled to a farm on Springfield Mountain. There from fright and fatigue, she gave premature birth to Mary.

Ezekiel DeCamp and Mary had 18 children, 13 grew up according to Anna Hayward Merritt 91570941.
