William Cletus Hammes, 43, died October 17, 2008, at the Sigourney Care Center in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born February 19, 1965 in Sigourney to Cletus Michael and Beverly Rae Glandon Hammes. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1984. He was employed by Iowa Culvert Builders of Sigourney, Iowa Bridge and Culvert of Washington, and McCulloughs of Deep River. Will loved his children, spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed working on his car and bowling.

Those left to mourn his passing are his children two daughters Shellby Hammes and Mckenzie Hammes of Keswick, four step children Echo Bailey, Teresa Moore, Courtney Moore, Jake Moore, his parents Cletus and Beverly Hammes of Sigourney, one sister Christine and husband Keith Garling of Iowa City, one brother Jeff and wife Valerie Hammes of Sigourney.

Funeral Service: Monday 10:30 St.Mary Catholic Church Sigourney.
Burial: Pleasant Grove Cemetery Sigourney.
Visitation: after 5pm Sunday at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Prayer Service: at 7:00pm. A Memorial Fund has been established for his daughters.
