Funeral service for Donald Thomas Prince, 58, of Decatur, will be Sunday, December 12, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Formby officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be today, December 12, 2010, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Prince died Thursday, December 09, 2010, at his residence. He was born July 08, 1952, in Morgan County to Herman Clyde Prince and Alice Shropshire Prince. Don was a graduate of Cotaco High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Alabama and later earned his Master's degree from the University of Alabama-Huntsville. He enjoyed traveling, listening to music, reading and collecting books. He supported many charities. He loved his dog, Noel and his mother. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Prince.

Survivors include his mother, Alice Shropshire Prince of Decatur; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Smith, Charlie Prince, Wesley Tankersley, Ron Terrell, Chester Walker, Morris Braly, Marlon Clemons and Joe Ed Tankersley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NAMI of Decatur.
