Funeral of Lt. H.F. Kell to be held Friday at Swifton Church
Funeral services for Lieut. Hatcher Frank Kell will be held at the Swifton Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Friday by the Rev. H. C. Minnis, a former pastor of Atkins.
The remains of the deceased, accompanied by Lt. Gordon M. Broach, arrived by train Wednesday night and was received by Dillinger Funeral Home at Newport. Kell died December 20, 1946 in Germany of asphyxiation. He was found unconscious in his quarters on December 18.
Born at Imboden November 19, 1923, Lt. Kell was 23 years old at his death. Practically all of his life was spent at Swifton, where he graduated from High School. He entered the service Oct. 31, 1942 and got his wings at Lake Field, Arizona in August, 1944. He went overseas in August, 1946.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Norma Jean Dudley and their daughter, Marylin Jean Kell of Swifton; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kell and two brothers, George and Everette Kell of Swifton.
