An abstract of the pension shows: she died 2 Nov 1948, filed 7 Nov 1913, approved 1 Dec 1913, she lived at 530 Bonham St., Paris, he died 14 Nov 1909 in Lamar Co., they married 2 Mar 1898 in Lamar Co., she was age 53, she was born in Henry Co., MO, lived in TX for 29 years, lived in Paris since 1884, he enlisted in Spring 1862 and served to close in Co. G, 29th Texas Cavalry, R. Gano's Brigade, as a private. On 15 Oct 1913 in Lamar Co., J. W. Hardison swore Carter was in the same regiment as he was. On same date, J. H. Graham swore he was in the same Company G as Carter. Brown Roden Funeral Home requested Mortuary Warrant for her on 5 Nov 1948.
