Mrs. Miriam Bridges Cawyer, 66 years old, wife of A.D. Cawyer, and mother of Miss Fern Cawyer, principal of Central school in this city, died at her home three miles south of Duenweg, at 3 o'clock Tuesday morning, following a long illness.
Funeral services were held at the Diamond Grove Church at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the Rev. G.I. Meyers, pastor of the First Christian Church of Neosho, saying the rites. Burial was made in the Stony Point Cemetery under the directions of the Bigham Undertaking Co.

Mrs. Cawyer, who before her marriage was Miss Miriam Bridges, is a member of an old highly respected family who were pioneers in the Newton County. For many years she was a teacher in the county, and many men and women who were once her pupils, are remembering lessons of integrity, thrift, patience and kindliness by the splendid example of this teacher of their youth.
