HIGHLEY, Earl, Sgt.
Second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Highley, was given a discharge from the army at Camp Chaffee, Ark., in June, following his return to the States after serving in the European theater with the 45th Division, enlisting in September, 1940. He holds the ETO ribbon, six battle stars, Purple Heart.

Earl Wright Highley, 83, of Kalispell, Montana, formerly of Kansas City, KS died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls, MT. Funeral Service and Masonic Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 15, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS. Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Earl was born August 23, 1919, in Hooker, OK, and had lived in Kansas City, KS since 1965 until 3 years ago when he moved to Montana to be near his daughter. Earl was an Army veteran of World War II. He had been a machinist foreman with Progressive Manufacturing before retiring in 1981 and had previously been employed with Cessna Aviation in
Hutchison, KS. for 15 years. He was a Methodist and member and past master of the Nickerson, KS Masonic Lodge, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. His wife, Rita Jean Highley preceded him in death in 1999. Survivors include his daughter Janice E. McManus, Kalispell, Montana, two grandchildren, and five
