Cora Hol, daughter of Peter C. and Rachel De Jong Jonker, was born February 5, 1920 near New Sharon, Iowa. She passed away Thursday morning, October 11, 2007 at the Griffin Nursing Center in Knoxville, Iowa at the age of eighty-seven years.

On December 3, 1941 Cora was united in marriage with Evert J. Hol at the Peoria Christian Reformed Church in Peoria, Iowa. To this union five children were born: Evelyn, Ruth, Peter, Dorothy, and Donna.

Cora was employed for over thirty years at the Pella Regional Health Center as a nurse and later as supervisor of Central Sterile, retiring in 1979.

Cora was a faithful member of the Second Christian Reformed Church in Pella. She was also a member of the Priscilla Aid and the Pella Christian High School Ladies Auxiliary. She loved music, especially organ music.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Evert; two daughters: Dorothy and her husband, John Huisman, of South Holland, Illinois, and Donna Hol of Axtell, Nebraska; her son-in-law: Arvin Bandstra and his wife, Connie of Pella; one sister: Edith Meppelink and her husband, Arthur of Pella; one brother: James Jonker of Pella; three grandsons: Matt and Luke Huisman and Dr. Russ Bandstra; nine great-grandchildren: Zachary, Rachael, Aaron, Alex, Jayden, Kody Huisman, Steven, Elizabeth and Christopher Bandstra; and four sisters-in-law: Nellie Wyngarden, Janet Vander Beek, Marie Beekhuizen, and Minnie Van Wyngarden.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Mathilda Vos and Wilma Bokhoven; two daughters: Evelyn Bandstra and Ruth Hol; one son: Peter David Hol; her grandson: Richard Owen Bandstra; two sisters-in-law: Harriett Jonker and Anna Hol; and five brothers-in-law: Elmer Wyngarden, Elmer Vander Beek, Henry Van Wyngarden, Bert Beekhuizen, and Marion Hol.

Cora will be remembered by her family and friends for her kind deeds, love, support, and the many memories she created in her lifetime.
