Born – 06 Jan 1822 at Gilead, Oxford County, Maine, Roseanna Mason, was born 6 January 1722 [1822] at Gilead, Oxford County, Maine, the 5th child of John Mason and Hannah Stiles [State of Maine B/R, certified by Sherman Emery]

Otis Potter (Rosanna's first husband) was a casualty of the Civil War.[Worcester MA D/R 1864] In 1850, Otis Potter, Rosanna his wife and children Francis B., Fernando, Charles H., and John B., were residing in Harrison, Maine.[Fed Cens 1850] In 1865, Rosanna Potter & children: Francis B., Fernando N., Charles H., John M. Edward A., Sumner F., and Clarence A. were residing in Worcester, Massachusetts [1865 State Census]

Four children, as well as a grandchild, of Rosanna Mason & her first husband, Otis Potter are buried in the following lots:

Sec 3 Lot 153 - Their son, John M. Potter (see B/R) is buried in the lot of Rosanna (Mason Potter) & Joseph Brigham)

Sec 3 Lot 152 - Edward Potter (see D/R) -the son of Otis M. Potter & Roxanna Mason, was born in Harrison, Maine. His wife and daughter are also interred in this lot.

Sec 3 -Sumner Potter (see D/R) -the son of Otis Potter & Rosana Mason. Sumner's daughter, Grace is also interred in the Rosanna (Mason) Potter & Joseph Brigham lot 153.

Sec 3 Lot 153- Their son, Clarence (see Clarence Potter's D/R) & his wife, Mary E. are interred in the same lot as Rosanna (Mason Potter) & Joseph Brigham.

Joseph F. Brigham, a farmer, age 39 yrs,(born in Northboro, MA, the son of Lovell & Lucy Brigham) & Rosanna (Mason) Potter, age 40 yrs, (born in Bethel, ME, the daughter of John & Hannah Mason)

On 7 October 1864, Rosanna Potter, applied for a widow's military pension of Otis Potter of F 21 Mass Inf.

then, On 16 Jan(or Jun?) 1868, J.F. Brigham (gdn) applied for minor -pension of Otis Potter of F 21 Mass Inf.

Died – 08 Feb 1895 at Boylston
Rosanna Brigham, age 73 yr 1 mos 2 days, the widow of Joseph, died of kidney disease at Boylston, Massachusetts on 8 February 1895. She had been born in Gilead, Maine, the daughter of John Mason & Hannah Styles. Rosanna Brigham was interred in Boylston. [Deaths registered in Boylston, pg 28; Mass VR 1841-1910, vol 456, pg 565]

Parents linked to Rosanna (Mason) Brigham: According to the Maine, Faylene Hutton Cemetery Collection John Mason, b. 1789, died in 1877 & Hannah S. Mason b. 1792, died in 1883. Both John & Hannah Mason were buried in West Bethel Cemetery, Bethel, Oxford County, Maine.
