"Lida Marie Sager, wife of Paul C. Sager, died of influenza at her home two miles east of Neosho, Nov 30, age 22 years.
Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McFall who now live in Kansas, but formerly lived west of Neosho. She was married to Paul C. Sager, Oct 18, 1914. to this union was born one son, who is now two years old.
She leaves beside's her husband and infant son, a father, mother, five brothers and two sisters, other relatives and many friends to mourn her untimely departure.
Funeral services were conducted at the home on Sunday, Dec. 1st. Interment was made at the Gibson cemetery.
"Call not back the dear departed, Anchored safe where storms are o'er: On the border land we left her, Soon to meet and part no more. When we leave this world of care, We shall find our missing loved one in our Father's Mansion fair."


Lydia died during the Great Influenza Epidemic of 1918-1919, along with her brothers'-in-law, Arthur Sager and Clifford Sager, brothers of my grandfather, Eli 'Harry' Sager.
