LORIS | Edward Clarence Elliott, 91, of Hwy. 19 W., died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Elliott was born in Aynor, South Carolina, a son of the late Samuel Porter and Georgianna Sarvis Elliott. He was a member of Zoan United Methodist Church. Mr. Elliott retired from Canal Wood Industries. He was a member of Conway Masonic Lodge No. 65 and Order of the Eastern Star Waccamaw Chapter No. 89.

Mr. Elliott was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy L. Trogdon Elliott; three brothers, Bernie Elliott, Ernest Elliott and Wallace Elliott; and one sister, Bertie Frye.

The family would like extend a special thanks to caregiver, Bobbie Lou Best and staff of Regency Hospice.

Surviving Mr. Elliott are one son, Larry Elliott of Loris; one daughter, Dorothy Anne Elliott and friend, Michael Ray, of Mars Hill, N.C.; two grandchildren, Edward A. Elliott of Maui, Hawii, and Dana J. Elliott of Orlando, Fla.; and one brother, Aubrey Elliott of North Myrtle Beach.

A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, with the Rev. John Watts, the Rev. Sam Clardy and Glenn Elliott officiating. Entombment will follow with Masonic Rights in Hillcrest Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the funeral home.
