DALLAS, TX - Funeral services for Aaron Randall Massey, 28, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Shreveport Community Church. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Byers. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Rose-Neath Southside.
Aaron was born on June 2, 1982 in Shreveport, LA to Charles Massey and Stacey Crawford. He died suddenly on December 9, 2010 in Dallas, TX. Aaron played soccer and football in his youth and attended Evangel Christian Academy and Captain Shreve High School. Aaron was an avid outdoorsman who loved and adored children.
Aaron owned and operated two successful businesses in Dallas, TX, Dallas Wood Floors and Wholesale Floors Direct and loved his high rise apartment that overlooked the city. Aaron was saved and baptized and is in Jesus' arms at rest. Aaron had a merciful and kind heart. He was loved by many and will be missed by his family and friends.
Aaron was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, J.L. Massey and maternal grandfather, Harry Thompson. He is survived by his father, Chuck Massey and wife, Gretchen; mother, Stacey Crawford and husband, David; paternal grandmother, Edna Massey; maternal grandmother, Judy Thompson Mouton; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Arceneaux; brothers and sisters, Michelle Massey Miller, Taylor Massey, Matthew Crawford, Molly Massey, and Claire Massey.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Thompson, Preston Ivey, Joshua Lesknewski, Colby Dunn, Brandon Massey, and Scott Massey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Aaron's name to the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission. Aaron had a deep concern for needy children and the hungry.
