Mildred Leech Key, 85, of Memphis, was born on March 13, 1925 and died on December 9, 2010. She was a lifelong Memphian and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Mildred owned Key Lettering Company and was an avid supporter of the University of Memphis Tigers. She was also a former Tennessee State Women's Singles Bowling Champion. Her greatest accomplishment and love was her family who loved her dearly. She is survived by her daughters, Terrie Lawrence, Glenda Shumate, and her husband, Kim; Brenda Holmes, and her husband, Terry; Carla Thomas, and her husband, Lee; her son, Danny Key, and his wife, Pam; her 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Anne Jones; her brother, Michael Leech; her sister-in-law, Maxine Leech; her brother-in-law, Walter Key; and a host of other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Carl Key. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010 at High Point Funeral Chapel, 3788 Summer Avenue. A rosary service will begin at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 706 S. Highland Street, Memphis, followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to The Mildred and Glenn Key Scholarship Fund of Cross County, P.O.
