Bengy was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked hanging sheetrock. He loved to sing and play guitar and was an active member of Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewitt Redden and Earnest and Elva Lynch; step-father Jacky Bair.

Survivors are is wife Elaine Lynch; sons Benjamin T. Lynch, Jr., Brett Flanders and wife Milharu, and Matthew Flanders; mother and step-father, Martha and C, W. Myers of Social Hill; father, Billy Ray Lynch of Fountain Lake. Sisters Quitie Drennan and husband, Michael of Little Rock, Jeanie Rigsby and husband Darrell of Fountain Lake; grandmother, Imogene Redden of hot Springs; grandchild Freya Flanders and many nieces and nephews.

Vistation will be Friday, December 10, 2010 from 7-9 PM at Regency Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 10 AM at Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church with Bro Bobby Goodnight officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Hot Springs.
Pallbearers are Larry Tatum, Chad Williams, Bill Clements and Marvin "Spec" Scott.
Arrangements under the direction of Regency Funeral Home.
