Death of Mrs Eb Wingate
Rue Ann (Cummans) Wingate was born on Oct 5, 1832 and died Dec 26, 1905, aged 73 years, 2 months and 21 days.

She was born in Columbiana county, OH and moved to Hancock with her parents when a small child where she resided until her marriage with Ebenezer Wingate on May 9, 1861, when she moved to Hardin county which has ever since been her home. To this union were born seven children: John, William, Maud and Mrs Ella each have preceded her; George, Mrs Hattie Beck, of this county and Mrs Ida Eggerman, of Oklahoma, seven grandchildren and a kind and loving husband survive her.

Mrs Wingate joined the Methodist Episcopal church at Foraker on July 16, 1899, and from that time she never doubted the sustaining grace of God. Her life was singularly strong, quite and beautiful. Sister Wingate was an affectionate wife, a loving mother and a kind and generous neighbor and her death will be deeply be regretted by all who knew her.
