Funeral service for Ruby L. King, 83, of Ormond Beach, who passed away Tuesday at Halifax Medical Center, will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at the Dale Woodward Funeral Home, 167 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hill, with Rev. Regina Biggs officiating. Interment will follow. Friends wishing to call and pay their respects may do so Friday from noon until the service time.

Mrs. King was born in Beattyville, KY and moved to this area in 1970 from Dayton, KY. She was the former owner/operator of various local cab companies for many years. Mrs. King was also a licensed real estate agent. A member of the Abundant Life Church of Barberville, she enjoyed studing the bible and church activities. Mrs. King also enjoyed sand sculptures, arts and crafts, cooking, and reading.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Burrel King and two sons, Victor and Micheal King.

Survivors include a sister, Alvona Combs of Connersville, IN; a brother, Ira P. King of Spartansburg, SC; two grandchildren, Kim Hall of Ormond Beach and Victor King of Daytona Beach; two great-granddaughters, Laken Hall and Lacey Hall; numerous nieces and nephews.
