Was with Bloody Bill Anderson at Centralia Missouri, September 27, 1864. After the war, he was with the gang of Jesse James for 2-3 months. Ultimately Frank James told him he wasn't cut out to be an outlaw, to take a horse and go home. Cemetery records list his birthdate at March 29, 1840, but I've seen other sources that list it as March 20, 1840. Although there are several marked Ellington graves, cemetery records indicate Richard B. Ellington's grave is not marked, nor did they indicate the location of the grave.
