Charlie Hickman, age 61, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Charlie was born August 8, 1949 to Nate and Muriel (Murphy) Hickman. He married Christine (Lager) January 23, 1971. Charlie graduated from Missouri Valley High School and went on to Creighton University to get his Bachelor Degree. He worked for Axtell Furniture, as a Pastor for Calvary Baptist Church, Missouri Valley Times News, Mosaic, and was currently a marketing specialist for Creighton University Medical Center.

Charlie loved camping, hiking, and fires at local campgrounds. He was an avid photographer. He enjoyed socializing with anyone and everyone and most of all he enjoyed finding and collecting pirate treasures.

Survivors include his wife Chris; son Brian Hickman of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter Kathy Hickman of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son Adam Hickman of Missouri Valley, Iowa and grandson Brody Hickman.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents.

Officiant: Pastor Brad Westercamp.

Casket bearers: Brian Hickman, Adam Hickman, Ray Lager, Joe Lager, Pat Lager and Mike Lager.

Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Missouri Valley.
