Brian Lee Rowan, 61, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Ochsner's Medical Center, New Orleans, LA.

Visitation is 5-8pm today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am Friday, December 10, 2010, at McLaurin Heights Baptist Church with interment to follow in Raymond Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Mr. Rowan was a member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church where he taught pre-school Sunday School for more than 20 years. He was a sales representative for Pfizer Pharmaceutical Co. where his dedicated service won him several awards over a 30 year career, including induction into the Pfizer Hall of Fame in 2006. His hobbies included reading and playing golf.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Rowan of Pearl; sons, Matt Rowan of Pearl and Scott Rowan and wife, Anna of Washington, D.C.; brother, Web Rowan and wife, Denise of Starkville; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Betty Rowan; and sister, Pam Rowan.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Mike Albert, Dr. Kurt Johnson, Dr. John Runnels, Dr. Russell Young, Dr. Pierce Dothrow and the Critical Care Staff at Ochsner's for their care and support.

Memorials may be made to the pre-school Sunday School department or music ministry of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church.
