Death Takes J. J. Pruitt, Mr. Joseph Joshua Pruitt died at his home near Buford on Wed. Feb. 1st. Mr. Pruitt was 76 years of age. He was a retired farmer and highly respected citizen. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dora Puckett, three daughters, Mrs. Jonce Bennett, Mrs. Winifred Maddox and Mrs. Wade Harper; 3 sons, C. H., Paul, and Cline L. Pruitt; one brother, O. A. Pruitt; 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was a member of the Ivy Creek Bpt. church where funeral services were held Fri., Feb. 3 with Rev. T. H. Swords and W. S. Moore officiating. Interment was in the church yard cemetery with the G.P. Tapp F. H.in charge.
