Funeral for Bernice Pate, 91, of Joaquin will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Joaquin, with the Rev. Charles Williams and the Rev. Mike Fodge officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery, Joaquin. Pate died Jan. 20, 2005, in Nacogdoches Medical Center. Born Feb. 13, 1913, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of E.B. Anderson Sr. and Fannie Ellis Anderson. She was married to Wallace J. Pate, and he preceded her in death. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, and she had taught school.
