Funeral Services for Joe Hemmer, age 64, of Tilden, will be held Monday, December 10, 2007 at 2:30 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden. Pastor Michael Awe will officiate with burial in the Tilden City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.
Mr. Hemmer died Thursday at the Golden Living Center in Tilden.

Joseph A. Hemmer, son of Matthias and Frances (Reuss) Hemmer, was born March 15, 1943 at Elgin, NE. He attended Pope John Elementary School. On April 29, 1977, he was married to Lois Bolling at Yankton, SD. Joe worked as an auto mechanic at Orchard, NE where he was certified in sales. He later was employed at Tilden Fertilizer before working as a farm hand for the Oelsligles.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden and also belonged to Pheasants Forever and was an avid fisherman.
Joe died Thursday at the Golden Living Center in Tilden at the age of 64.
Survivors include his wife Lois; children and their spouses, Raymond Hemmer of Olivehurst, CA, Judith Clason and Jody of Orangeville, CA, Vicki Erickson and Kevin of Norfolk, JoAnn Hemmer of Norfolk, Jeff Bolling and friend Ann of Wayne, Lori Prater and Kelly of Lincoln, and Stacy Hecht and John of Gretna; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
