Elinor or Eleanor Jane McCutchan was the daughter of Joseph McCutchan and Nancy Youel (buried at McCutchan Cemetery), the granddaughter of John McCutchan, Elizabeth "Betsy" Hodge, Samuel and Elizabeth Hodge and the great granddaughter of Robert McCutchan and Margaret Callison (buried North Mountain Burying Ground).

First, she married Robert Dunlap ( 16 Nov 1802 Augusta Co. to 4 Mar 1832 Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., IN) on 29 Nov 1828 or 2 Sep 1828 in Augusta County, Virginia. They had an infant girl, died of diphtheria about 4 - 17 Mar 1832. Second, she married widower John Firebaugh on 29 Nov 1838 and had 4 children together:

Virginia Caroline, 12 Apr 1840 at Cedar Grove Mills, near Lexington
Robert Dunlap, 13 May 1842 at same
James Bolton, 18 Jan 1845 at same
Sarah Cornelia, 10 Dec 1847 at same, died 10 Dec 1930 in Burbank, CA

On the 1850 Dist. 53, Rockbridge Co., VA census, I found farmer John Firebaugh, 61; Elenor, 42; Henry A., 19; Samuel, 16; Rebecca J., 14; Virginia C., 10; Robert D., 8; James B., 5 and Sarah C., 2, all VA born.

The Library of Virginia has a collection #30873, titled McCutchan Family Bible Record. It contains some handwritten records. Included on page 6 and 8 on Eleanor/Ella/Ellen McCutchan and her husbands, including Robert Dunlap, twin of John G Dunlap, born 16 Nov 1802 in Augusta Co.., VA; died 4 Mar 1832 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana, buried in Montgomery Co., IN (at unknown location). A search of the Montgomery Co., IN death records did not include him. Source also says they had an infant girl who died from diphtheria about 4-17 of Mar 1832. It states Eleanor lost her brother, husband and daughter within 17 days from diphtheria. Her father went for her and brought her and her belongings back to Virginia in a wagon. It took 3 weeks and Eleanor rode a colt which had never been bridled before. She lived in her uncle Wm Nelson Youels home until her father arrived. The names of John FIrebaugh's children above are from this source. There are 11 pages.

Note there are 3 other Firebaugh gravestones in this plot with Elinor: Emmett K. Firebaugh, Robert D. Firebaugh plus the MEMORIAL (cenotaph) to John Firebaugh and the 15 others who are buried 1.9 miles away at the Firebaugh Family Cemetery, minus the markers which were removed and buried here. Her husband has 2 sites on Findagrave. The first below, is his cenotaph memorial and the second is where his remains are buried.

Her husband John's body is buried at the Firebaugh Family Cemetery in Bustleburg, Rockbridge County, with no marker (62966835.) and the he his cenotaph is at Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery, also in Rockbridge County (29656720).
